The Government of Telangana has revised the school uniform design for the 2026–27 academic year. Check the latest Samagra Shiksha uniform guidelines, class-wise uniform patterns, and official details.

Telangana Revises School Uniform Design for Academic Year 2026–27

The Government of Telangana, through Samagra Shiksha (School Education Department), has issued revised instructions regarding the school uniform design for the Academic Year 2026–27. The decision was communicated by the State Project Director following fresh instructions received from the Government.

According to the official communication dated 27 July 2026, the previously announced uniform design has been modified, and all concerned departments have been requested to make necessary arrangements for supplying the revised uniforms to students.

Class-wise Revised Uniform Design

The official document includes the following uniform patterns:

  • Classes 1 to 3 (Girls): Light blue shirt with navy blue pinafore.
  • Classes 4 & 5 (Girls): Light blue shirt with navy blue skirt.
  • Classes 1 to 5 (Boys): Light blue shirt with navy blue shorts.
  • Classes 6 to 12 (Girls): Light blue kurta with navy blue sleeveless jacket and matching bottom.
  • Classes 6 to 12 (Boys): Light blue shirt with navy blue trousers.

Purpose of the Revision

The revised uniform aims to:

  • Ensure a uniform appearance across government schools.
  • Improve student comfort and identity.
  • Facilitate timely procurement and distribution of uniforms.
  • Implement the latest Government instructions for the 2026–27 academic year.

Important Note

All district and school authorities are expected to follow the revised design while arranging the stitching and distribution of school uniforms for eligible students under Samagra Shiksha. The revised design replaces the earlier communication issued on 9 July 2026.
