MyGov & MY Bharat Independence Day 2026 Online Competitions Announced for School Students

The Director of School Education & State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Telangana has directed all District Educational Officers to widely publicize the MyGov and MY Bharat online competitions being organized as part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2026. The initiative aims to encourage students across India to participate in creative and knowledge-based activities that promote patriotism, innovation, and awareness.

Competitions Conducted

1. Essay Competition

Topic: Role of AI in Building a Viksit Bharat by 2047

Students can express their ideas on how Artificial Intelligence can contribute to making India a developed nation by the year 2047.

2. Painting Contest

Topic: India 1947 vs India 2047

Participants can creatively depict India's journey from Independence to the vision of a developed India in 2047.

3. Online Quiz Competitions

The quiz series includes the following topics:

  • Constitution of India – Fundamental Rights, Duties, Key Articles and Constitution Makers
  • Women in India's Freedom Movement – From Rani Lakshmibai to Sarojini Naidu and Beyond
  • Major Milestones of Modern India – Technological Progress and Space Achievements
  • India's Success Story in Nuclear Technology

Last Date to Participate

Last Date: 13 August 2026 for all competitions.

Instructions for Schools

The Telangana School Education Department has instructed all District Educational Officers to:

  • Give wide publicity to these competitions.
  • Inform all government and private schools.
  • Encourage maximum student participation.
  • Submit a compliance report with the number of participating schools and students along with geo-tagged photographs by 13 August 2026.

Objective of the Initiative

The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, in association with MyGov and MY Bharat, is organizing these online competitions to:

  • Foster patriotism among students.
  • Encourage creativity and innovation.
  • Increase awareness about India's Constitution and freedom movement.
  • Inspire students to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
