  • Mark sheet of the last qualifying examination
  • Proof of admission to the first year of the eligible course in 2026–27

How to Apply Online for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026

  1. Visit the official LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation page.
  2. Read the “Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026” notification and the online-submission instructions.
  3. Select the official “Apply Here for Scholarship Scheme 2026” link.
  4. Choose the correct scholarship category based on the qualifying examination and present course.
  5. Enter the student's personal, academic, income, admission, contact and bank details carefully.
  6. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
  7. Review every entry, especially the marks, PIN code, email address, mobile number, bank details and IFSC code.
  8. Submit the application and save the acknowledgement email and application number.

Only online applications are accepted. There is no need to send a hard copy of the online form at the initial application stage. The application is routed to the appropriate LIC Divisional Office using the applicant's address PIN code.

How Candidates Are Selected

Applications are handled in preliminary and final stages by the relevant LIC Divisional Office. Eligible applicants are ranked mainly by the percentage of marks obtained in Class 10, Class 12 or diploma, as applicable.

  • If two applicants have the same percentage, the student with the lower family income receives preference.
  • If both marks and income are tied, LIC may assess the applicants' financial needs and family background.
  • Shortlisted applicants are contacted by the Divisional Office for document verification.
  • Selected candidates are informed through email.
  • The scholarship is transferred to the verified active bank account through NEFT.

As a general rule, only one student from a family receives the scholarship. LIC may relax this rule for two students when the later applicant is female or both applicants are female, subject to the official conditions.

Renewal Conditions Students Should Know

Selection is not a one-time guarantee for every future instalment. Students must maintain regular attendance, pass the required examinations and submit results or attendance records when asked.

  • Medical and engineering scholars must generally secure at least 55% marks or equivalent SGPA/CGPA and pass all subjects.
  • Students in graduation and other General Scholarship courses must generally secure at least 50% marks or equivalent grade and pass all subjects.
  • Special Scholarship students must secure at least 50% marks and pass all subjects in the first yearly examination.
  • Using grace marks or clearing a failed subject in a later semester may affect continued eligibility, except where LIC accepts a properly supported case involving unavoidable circumstances.

Common Application Mistakes to Avoid

  • Selecting the wrong scholarship category
  • Applying without first-year admission in 2026–27
  • Entering CGPA without using the Board's official percentage conversion
  • Using an inactive email address, phone number or bank account
  • Entering an old IFSC code after a bank merger
  • Uploading a blurred mark sheet, income certificate or admission proof
  • Submitting different names or spellings across academic, Aadhaar and bank records without checking them
  • Waiting until the last day, when portal traffic or document errors may cause difficulty

Practical Guidance for Students, Parents and Teachers

Schools and teachers can help by informing eligible former students who passed Class 10 or Class 12 during the listed academic years and have now joined first-year study in 2026–27. Before applying, compare the mark sheet, admission proof and income certificate line by line. The applicant should use an email address and mobile number that will remain active, because further communication is sent electronically.

Do not share Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, OTPs or the application number on social media or with unknown persons. Apply only through the link available on LIC's official website.
