How to Apply Online

  1. Open the unified official RRB website and select the application link for CEN 05/2026.
  2. Use your existing RRB account created for an earlier 2024, 2025 or 2026 CEN, if available. Otherwise, create a new account.
  3. Enter your name, date of birth and parents’ names exactly as shown in the Class 10 or SSLC certificate.
  4. Authenticate your identity through Aadhaar or DigiLocker when possible.
  5. Select only one RRB. Choose only the posts and railway zones for which you are eligible.
  6. Enter educational, registration, category and other required information carefully.
  7. Capture the live photograph and upload the scanned signature according to the portal instructions.
  8. Preview the application, pay the applicable fee and submit the form.
  9. Download and preserve the completed application and payment proof.
One-application rule: A candidate must submit only one application and choose only one RRB. Multiple applications to the same or different RRBs can lead to rejection and debarment from future RRB/RRC examinations.

Documents and Details to Keep Ready

  • Aadhaar details or another accepted identity document
  • Active personal mobile number and email address
  • Class 10/SSLC certificate for name and date of birth
  • 12th, diploma, degree and professional qualification records, as applicable
  • Nursing, pharmacy, RCI, optometry or other professional registration proof, where prescribed
  • Experience or in-house training certificate for posts where required
  • Valid SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/EBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen documents, if applicable
  • Scanned signature in the format specified on the portal
  • Online fee-payment facility and an eligible Aadhaar-seeded bank account for refund

Practical Application Checklist

  • Compare the exact name and duration of your qualification with Annexure A.
  • Check the medical standard for your chosen post before paying the fee.
  • Review the RRB-wise vacancy table before selecting an RRB.
  • Do not select a post merely because it appears similar to your qualification.
  • Ensure that your professional registration is valid wherever registration is mandatory.
  • Do not wait until the closing day; server traffic or payment failure may delay submission.
  • Remember that the chosen RRB and account-creation details cannot be changed during the correction window.
  • After submitting, confirm the fee status and preserve the final application PDF.

Preparation Guidance

Professional Ability carries 70% of the CBT marks, so candidates should begin with the post-specific syllabus in Annexure C. Prepare a weekly revision plan covering core professional subjects, previous objective questions and short notes. Reserve separate daily time for current affairs, arithmetic, reasoning and Class 10-level science. Since one-third negative marking applies, practise accuracy instead of attempting doubtful questions blindly.
