Annual awards vary by course; the ₹10 lakh maximum applies to eligible management students.

The Bajaj Finserv Scholarship Program FY 2026-27 supports eligible first-year management and technology students. Annual awards reach ₹10 lakh for eligible management students, while the amounts for engineering students differ.

For a family comparing college costs, the headline amount is only the starting point. Check the course, institution and award category before estimating how much support an applicant could receive. This guide explains those checks and helps students prepare a complete application.

Application deadline: 15 October 2026. This is the date listed in the current Buddy4Study information checked on 14 October 2026. Recheck the programme page before submitting.

  • School marks: At least 75% or the equivalent grade in both Class 10 and Class 12.
  • Income: Annual parental income from all sources must not exceed ₹15 lakh.
  • College: A qualifying top-25 NIRF-ranked institution; top-10 institutions receive preference.

Management specialisations are covered broadly. Technology fields are restricted to Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Data Science and Statistics. Children of Bajaj Finserv or Buddy4Study employees are excluded.

Additional preference applies to meritorious applicants with disabilities, orphaned students and students from single-parent families following death or divorce.

How to Check Your College

NIRF publishes separate 2025 Management rankings and 2025 Engineering rankings. A useful first check is to match the institution's name and location in the relevant list, then confirm its acceptance in the scholarship form.

For example, IIT Hyderabad appears at rank 7 in NIRF Engineering 2025. That ranking is a useful reference; it does not establish an individual student's scholarship eligibility. The student's course and remaining conditions still need checking. If a college name or campus is unclear, ask the programme helpdesk before selecting a different institution.

Scholarship Amount: Why Every Student Does Not Receive ₹10 Lakh

CourseAnnual award
B.E./B.Tech.₹2,00,000
M.E./M.Tech.₹1,50,000
MBA/PGDM/PGPFee-linked slabs below
Management first-year feeAnnual award
Up to ₹5,00,000₹5,00,000
Above ₹5,00,000, up to ₹8,00,000₹8,00,000
Above ₹8,00,000₹10,00,000

Fully tuition-waived management students have a separate ₹2,50,000 annual provision for other essential academic expenses. The programme determines the applicable slab using the approved fee structure and institution classification.

Practical budgeting tip: Keep tuition, hostel and other expenses separate in your own college-cost worksheet. Treat an application as a request for support; plan your payments around confirmed funding and any actual award communication.

Documents to Prepare

Keep a photograph, government ID or masked Aadhaar, enrolment proof, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, parental income certificate/ITR, applicant's bank proof and a conduct self-declaration ready. Postgraduate applicants need graduation records. Relevant disability, bereavement, divorce or orphan-status documents support special-category consideration.

Before uploading: Open each scan and check that names, dates, marks and the issuing authority are readable. Give files descriptive names so the correct marksheet or certificate is easy to select. Use the format and size requested by the application form.

How to Apply Online

  1. Open the Bajaj Finserv programme page and choose your category.
  2. Register or sign in, then start the application.
  3. Enter details, upload documents, accept the terms, preview and submit.
  4. Keep the acknowledgement and a copy of your submission.

During the preview, compare the spelling of your name, course title, college and bank details with the supporting documents. A saved draft should not be treated as a completed submission: look for the form's confirmation. If the portal requests clarification later, refer to the copy you kept rather than recreating details from memory.

Renewal and Other Scholarship Support

Renewal depends on continued enrolment, at least 60% or equivalent academic performance, good conduct, timely documents and progress/fund-use reports, compliance with support-exclusivity conditions, and available programme funds.

Technology applicants cannot be active beneficiaries of another private or government scholarship for the same course. Eligible M.E./M.Tech. applicants receiving a government stipend have an exception, subject to the applicable terms.

If you already receive support, describe it accurately and ask the helpdesk how the rule applies. Keep scholarship, stipend and fee-waiver records together. This makes it easier to explain your situation and respond to a renewal request.
