Educational Qualifications and Required Skills
| Post | Essential requirements |
|---|---|
| Senior Personal Assistant | Graduation; shorthand at least 110 words per minute; typewriting at least 40 words per minute. |
| Personal Assistant | Graduation; shorthand 100 words per minute; typing 40 words per minute; computer knowledge. |
| Junior Judicial Assistant | Graduation and computer typing at least 40 words per minute. |
| Process Server | The notification specifies matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board / Higher Secondary, an LMV driving licence and two years of unblemished driving experience. |
| Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon | Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board. |
WPM means words per minute. A graduation certificate alone does not satisfy the full requirements of the assistant posts. Similarly, a Class 10 certificate alone does not satisfy the Process Server requirements.
Qualifications and experience are assessed as on 4 November 2026. Check the complete recruitment rules, certificate requirements and post-specific disability suitability in the notification.
Age Limit: Check the Exact Condition
Before applying any age relaxation, candidates must have completed 18 years and must be below 27 years on 1 June 2026.
The advertisement gives the corresponding date-of-birth range as 2 June 1999 to 1 June 2008, inclusive. Use the date of birth recorded in the matriculation or equivalent certificate.
Eligible candidates may claim the relaxation specified in the notice: SC/ST — 5 years; eligible OBC candidates — 3 years; PwBD — 10 years for UR/EWS, 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC. Ex-servicemen should check the service-based calculation and other conditions in the advertisement.
Important OBC Check for Applicants from Other States
The notice sets specific OBC (Delhi) conditions for reservation and age relaxation. An ordinary OBC certificate from another state does not automatically establish eligibility for those benefits. Read the accepted certificate conditions on pages 15–16, including the provisions for certain certificates issued outside Delhi on the basis of a Delhi family certificate.
If you do not meet the notification’s OBC (Delhi) conditions, the notice treats OBC (Outside) candidates as Unreserved. This is particularly important for applicants from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and other states who are choosing a category in the form.
Application Fee and Exemptions
The application fee is ₹100. Women, SC, ST, PwBD and eligible ex-servicemen are exempt.
The ex-servicemen exemption has a condition: those already regularly re-employed in the specified civil employment after using ex-servicemen reservation do not receive the fee concession. Check your circumstances against the notice.
Where a fee is payable, the notification prescribes SBI e-pay. The fee is non-refundable. Complete payment through the official application process and save the receipt.
Selection Process: The Stages Depend on the Post
| Post group | Advertised examination stages |

| Senior Personal Assistant / Personal Assistant | MCQ test; English descriptive test; English shorthand and typing skill test; interview. |
| Junior Judicial Assistant | MCQ test; English descriptive test; English typing skill test; interview. |
| Process Server | MCQ test; qualifying driving test; interview. |
| Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon | MCQ test and interview. |
Negative marking: Each wrong MCQ answer attracts a deduction of 0.25 marks. For example, four wrong answers result in a one-mark deduction.

Documents to Keep Ready
Prepare your matriculation certificate, relevant graduation certificate, identity details and the files requested by the portal. Keep category, EWS, PwBD or ex-servicemen documents ready where applicable. Process Server applicants should also prepare their LMV licence and evidence supporting the required driving experience.
This is a preparation checklist. Upload only what the official portal requests at each stage, and follow separate e-dossier or verification instructions when issued.
Choose a Post That Matches Your Skills
Start with three checks: your qualification, your age on the prescribed date and your practical skills. A graduate who can type but has not learned shorthand should examine the Junior Judicial Assistant requirements carefully. A candidate interested in Process Server should verify both the licence and the experience condition.
For preparation, measure typing accuracy as well as speed. Shorthand applicants should practise dictation and computer transcription. Use the official examination scheme to choose written-test topics and practise timed questions. These are preparation suggestions, not additional eligibility conditions.
