- The engagement is purely temporary, initially for up to six months, and does not confer any right to a permanent CSIR-IICT position.

How to Choose the Correct Position Code
Do not select a code only because the broad subject name looks familiar. Use this four-step check:
- Match the degree exactly: confirm the branch and qualification named in the essential-qualification column.
- Check post-qualification experience: count only experience gained after completing the minimum prescribed qualification.
- Verify NET/GATE: some codes require a valid score, while others offer higher emoluments to qualified candidates.
- Read desirable experience: project work may involve organic synthesis, materials, catalysis, CFD, ASPEN, AI/ML, Python, simulations, biotechnology or analytical techniques.
Useful Interview Preparation
- Prepare a one-minute introduction covering your qualification, dissertation, laboratory skills and relevant experience.
- Revise the methods, instruments, software and safety practices mentioned in your CV.
- Read the project title for your code and understand its scientific objective in simple terms.
- Be ready to explain one problem you solved during a project or laboratory assignment.
- Carry concise evidence of publications, patents, project reports or technical work when relevant to the desirable criteria.
